11 Chic British Girl-Approved Autumn Outfit Ideas to Try Now

No one does it like us Brits. Fashion, I mean (although we’re pretty good at a lot of things, it has to be said). I know we often talk on Who What Wear about how chic the French are, hail the bold style of the Scandis and dissect the laid-back luxe of LA’s finest. But I’ve worked in this industry for over a decade, travelling all over the world for fashion weeks and international shoot trips, and I can honestly say no one nails relaxed cool like British women.

Getting creative with clothes is in our DNA. Just think back to the birth of the mini skirt thanks to Mary Quant in the 1960s, or the influence of the British punk scene on global fashion (designers from Alexander McQueen to Jean Paul Gaultier have all referenced it on the biggest catwalks).
